Wang Cheng, the leader of the Jinyiwei, sent his subordinate Qi Tianyuan to infiltrate Shaolin Temple in an attempt to eliminate the chivalrous and righteous Shaolin and seize the position of abbot.Upon learning of the conspiracy, Huineng, a disciple of Shaolin, rushed back to the temple, only to find that the abbot, Yuanhui, had already been ambushed. Before his death, Yuanhui handed over the kasaya, a symbol of Shaolin's orthodox teachings, to Huineng. To preserve the tradition, Huineng was forced to flee, while Qi Tianyuan led his men in hot pursuit, setting the stage for a confrontation between good and evil.
